Do You Have A Christmas Angel? I do!
At this time of year everyone wishes they had a Christmas Angel to help them out. Well, I’m lucky this year. My Angel has been with me the whole year helping and supporting me. When I was down in the dumps she was there to pick me up and brush me off. If I needed help, she would offer any she could or contact someone that would help me.
But I’m not the only one she has helped! Oh no! Everyday she helps others whenever she can. This person opens her own home to any child if they need a place to stay for any amount of time. Even though she doesn’t have much, she offers what little she has to others.
She is a teacher to many of us on her group, Avoid Writers Hell, and a mentor to countless others. With her whacks she has taught the proper ways sentences should be written. All the while loving us as she delivers those whacks.
As some of you have guessed, my Angel is Faith Bicknell-Brown. I don ‘t know how I can thank her for what she has done for me, so I am writing this little Christmas blog to thank her and to tell her how much she means to me as a friend, teacher, mentor and editor!

The New Work Force!
The New Work Force
This is off topic for me, but I had to write something about it. It has me so mad and I just don’t know if anyone else is having this problem. I’ve heard many are experiencing this, so if you are, tell me what yo’re doing about it.
My husband is a certified welder and worked for a company for over 14 years but was laid off over a year ago. Come to learn said company hired temporary help at min wage and when they finish the job they let said workers go. My husband has now gone through two of these types of jobs, each company telling him it’s a long-term job and a chance to hire on. He works two to three weeks and then they let him go saying the job is finished. It’s just enough to screw up his unemployment and his pride.
Men have always been told they are the man of the house and that they need to provide for their families. Well, how are they supposed to do this when these companies are getting away with treating employees like trash? I for one don’t know how much more my husband can take. Each job he gets laid off his depression sets in and his pride takes another blow. What’s sad is my husband and I’m sure many more men are hard workers never missing work and are always on time, but does not seem to matter.
Maybe if enough people write or send something to our congress something can be done about this. Who knows? But I do know my husband is now afraid to try for another job. How do I help him? How do I get him to try again?
