Starting July 13th, 2009, the LRC will NO LONGER

allow drive by promos. From now on, an author or

promotional company needs to be on at least digest

and make some sort of appearance the day they promote

so that readers know someone is there to answer

questions; Even if there are no questions, at least say

"Hi, I am here."

If you want to promote more than once a month,

I will now request that a book or small promo

pack of your choosing donated to the LRC for a

weekly drawing from all the members at the LRC.

The AUTHOR is to announce there is a promo giveaway

unless you already talked to me on the drawing.

It is up to you to let me know if you desire me

to draw the name or if you will and to let the readers

know about it.

PROMOTIONAL GROUPS:

Due to some complaints I have received, ALL Promotional

Companies are now on moderation. If you wish to promote

at the LRC these are the rules that will apply:

All promos MUST have all authors' information in

ONE EMAIL POST! This means one email post for chat dates,

blogging, new release news, contract news, contests, etc.

Basically what I like to call "Weekly News from such and such".

You are allowed TWO EXCERPT PROMO POSTS EACH WEEK for

each author but not the same excerpt each week. Mix it up,

especially if it is a back list that isn't getting out here.

FOR ALL AUTHORS:

Promo posts are ONE PER AUTHOR each week.

This means get your blog/chat dates, new release

information, contracts, reviews, etc in ONE POST-not

several little emails disguised as one post.

I am no longer allowing several posts of the same

thing to go on in the loop. This means those who post

those posts with "12 lines from such and such" or

"look what my character said here"

will NO LONGER BE ALLOWED! The rule is firm each

author is to have ONE POST ONLY.

Authors are allowed TWO PROMO EXCERPTS

each week and MUST follow the guidelines

as before. This means a Rating AND Genre

in subject line AND a buy or more info link in

the excerpt itself.

One example would be: PROMO/EXCERPT

(Rating here) - Title/Author (Genre)

Anyone not following the guidelines for

promo excerpts will be on moderation and

posts deleted with no warnings given.

As always, my door is always open and

if you have questions, I highly recommend

asking me before posting so any confusion is
